Inaugurating the series "Sport and politics: the crossroads of history", the author Edoardo Gori has created a work that reconstructs the sporting joys and the war tragedies experienced between 1978 and 1999 by the Argentine world football champion, then later protagonist of the war of the Falklands against the United Kingdom, and of the national basketball and football teams of Yugoslavia, a nation now on its way to its bloody dissolution as a unitary state.
