In 1939-40 the Italian Cup arrives on the banks of the Arno. A stratospheric Fiorentina, capable of scoring masses of goals to the unfortunate opponents, won the tournament with full merit. Only the final proves to be a balanced match that sees the Viola win only 1 to 0 against Genoa 1893 in the final played in Florence at the "Berta" stadium.
