After forty years of work, prof. Sergio Villani, keeping to the promise made in 1969 to Maestro Vasco Ronchi, father of optical sciences in Italy, published the Dictionary of Optical and Ophthalmic Sciences in 2011, the first work of its kind published in Italy. The work constitutes the point of arrival of the "Glossary of optometric terms" announced by the same prof. Ronchi in his preface to Villani's first book on Optometry.
